Transitioning Responsibly Toward a Circular Bioeconomy: Using Stakeholder Workshops to Reveal Market Dependencies

Abstract This article reflects on the contribution that stakeholder involvement could give to circular bioeconomy transformation (CBE). By comparing argument for in literature as well our own experiences six workshops, we argue it is probably unrealistic fully achieve both normative and co-design goals a single workshop. Furthermore, can help acquire insight into dependencies market offer an opportunity connect people deal with them. Therefore propose future initiatives CBE focus (1) identify relationships of dependency which make hard players change, (2) develop strategies change while mitigating detrimental effects already existing (3) gradually breaking down building new ones support CBE.
